The Madrigal Troubadours and Trouveres is a mixed-voiced, extra-curricular ensemble that was introduced in the fall of 2019 to give freshmen students the opportunity to partake in learning the Madrigal style of vocal music. Taking place during the fall semester, the ensemble works on acapella music from the medieval/renaissance through the contemporary era.
Auditions take place in the fall. While the group prominently features freshmen, any choral student interested in building upon their vocal skills may audition. The Madrigal Troubadours and Trouveres perform in the annual Madrigal Dinner, hosted at Plainfield Central HS each December.
